The Harlem Quartet is comprised of Ilmar Gavilan, Melissa White, Juan-Miguel Hernandez and Desmond Neysmith. They are dedicated to education, community engagement, as well as to superb classical performance. The quartet serve as the Principal Faculty at the Sphinx Performance Academy at the Walnut Hill School. They will be performing Joachin Turina's La Oracion del Torero, Maurice Ravel's Quartet in F Major, Wynton Marsalis' Quartet #1 "At the Octoroon Ball", and Billy Strayhorn's Take the "A" Train. |
