Herbal Materia Medica: Exploring Nature's Pharmacy in Western Botanical Medicine
Join herbalist and author Holly Bellebuono to learn about the myriad plants used in today's modern herbal medicine. We'll explore both native and exotic plants, how herbalists combine them into formulas specific to a body system--and why, how to think of herbs in "chemical classes" or based on "action" in relation to medicine, and more. Workshop includes a delicious catered lunch, a copy of Holly's book The Authentic Herbal Healer, and two audio CDs about herbal healing for the Immune System and the Cardiovascular System. Holly directs The Heritage & Healing Herbal Studies Program and Vineyard Herbs Teas & Apothecary. DISCOUNTS are available when registering for multiple workshops; please inquire!
