Centuries ago, in their spare time, sailors and whalers took up the art of scrimshaw, engraving images on whale teeth and whalebone. As part of the Edgartown Board of Trade’s Pink and Green Weekend, children are invited to learn how to carve historic scrimshaw into pink and green soap using an image of their choice.
