Members Preview: Martha’s Vineyard Art Association - Selected Works
The Martha's Vineyard Art Association opened in 1954 for the benefit of the Island community: "to increase facilities of art education, create interest in the arts, make an art center for the whole Island, establish a permanent collection, and preserve an old landmark." Their permanent collection now includes almost 100 works from many accomplished Island artists, including Lois Mailou Jones, Vaclav Vitlacil, and Julius Delbos. In this exhibition, selected works from this wonderful collection will be shown at the Museum. Members are invited for a special preview before the exhibit opens to the general public on April 6th. Free and open only to Members.
