24th Annual Sullivan 5K Run/Walk for Health and Fitness
A great end-of-summer event for the whole family! Racers of all ages run or walk the US Track and Field Association Certified 5K course around the East Chop bluffs, with a spectacular view of Nantucket Sound. Free Run/Walk t-shirts are distributed to the first 300 registered participants on a first come, first served basis. Founded in 1989 by Dr. Louis W. Sullivan, former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services from 1989-1993, the race promotes Dr. and Mrs. Sullivan's belief in the health benefits of daily exercise. This event has raised much needed funds to support the Hospital's efforts to improve the health of our Island community.
